Benjamin Beberness is the Global Vice-President for the Oil, Gas, and Energy Industry Business Unit (IBU) at SAP with responsibility for assuring that SAP’s portfolio of solutions, services and partnerships deliver the highest value for the industry. The IBU team showcases SAP solutions and consults SAP customers on realizing the business value generated by the SAP portfolio.
Benjamin is passionately driving innovation that makes the oil, gas and energy industry more successful and he frequently shares his strategy and insights with customers, SAP partners, press, and analysts. He is regularly invited to deliver keynote speeches and to moderate panel discussions. In strategy meetings, he advises leading customers how to become intelligent and sustainable enterprises.
Benjamin joined SAP in 2017 after having been a customer for over 10 years. Prior to SAP, Benjamin held the role as the CIO of Snohomish County PUD where he was responsible for all IT/IoT strategy, operations and cyber security. Prior to Snohomish, he held the position as Director of Delivery Services for PacifiCorp in Portland, Oregon. He has extensive experience managing a broad range of technology, security and compliance issues including 25 years in large scale management roles. His background also includes work for Williams Gas Pipeline in Houston, Texas, and the Deloitte and Touché Consulting Group / DRT Systems.
